South Carolina

A while back (in Feb) i went to SC with Bill. Clemson, actually. I didnt really like the parts he was showing me. the really ritzy or the super redneck poor parts. so i was not most impressed. but on the day we left i saw lots of other places and they were not so bad. it was no DE with wide open spaces and fields as far as the eye can see, but it was ok.

but it doesnt really matter how good or bad it is, b/c that is where Bill wants to be and i want to be with Bill.

Today i got a bop on the head when Bill said that he maybe wanted to go to Clemson at the end of the summer and i told him what i thought about that was "GAAAAAAHHHH". mostly b/c that is so soon. i hadnt really thought anything would happen that quickly.

so probably some time in the future (possibly near) i may re-locate from MD to SC.
its sorta overwhelming.

i think i have to puke now.

Okay, just punch me in the gut why don't ya? Let me set the record straight, everyone. I think you are getting some misinformation. By the way, Bill here. Beloved. For now it seems...

I took Miss Shannan to Clemson, which by the way is a wonderful, small southern town with lots of charm. Okay, it's a college town, but it is out in the country and it is safe and a great place to raise kids and grow old. Crime is rare, the air is sweet and blah, blah, blah...

One day, I took Shannan to a place that I used to live and then decided to go further out in the country side, with which I was not entirely familiar. A couple of houses had trash in front of them. It was not indicative of SC and the area. But, like Delaware, there are some sadder parts. (Dirt cheap by the way too.)

I think Shannan is making too snap a judgement here. South Carolina is lush and beautiful. Clemson is 30 minutes away from being right in the mountains, and a few hours away from the beach. It's a GREAT place. I will take her back and show her the wonderful parts.

There are wide open spaces, but it isn't flat like DE and I think that's what Shannan didn't like. So... I defend the southland!!
